If you can get your friends to do all of the work for you, go for it.  Here the bow and middle person are attempting to sleep while the stern person handles all of the paddling.  This is how they were when Ted found them, Ted convinced them to all to help out a little bit with the paddling.  (Ted can be persuasive when he wants to be.)
